Privacy policy
Last updated: 6 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data SlotsDiscovery collects, why, who we share it with and the choices you have. SlotsDiscovery (slotsdiscovery.com) is operated by SlotsDiscovery, the “data controller” for the data described here. Questions or requests: [email protected].
The short version
- You can use every game page and AI tool without giving us your name or email.
- If you sign up to our newsletter we keep your name, email and country, and send you emails you agreed to.
- If you also tick the network box, we share your name and email with our network partners so they can send you similar offers. This is optional, and you can withdraw it at any time.
- Analytics cookies only run if you accept them.
- Your saved games, compare list and Match profile stay on your device.
What we collect
Newsletter sign-ups
First name, email address, country, which consents you gave (and the exact wording you agreed to), the page you signed up on, and the date and time.
When you contact us
Your email address, name and whatever you include in your message.
When you browse
- Country: we read your approximate country from your connection (via our hosting and content delivery provider) to show casino offers that accept players where you live and to hide games whose studio blocks your country. We do not store your IP address for this. If you pick a country yourself, we remember the choice in a cookie.
- Technical logs: our hosting and security providers process IP addresses, browser type and request details to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. These logs are kept for a short period.
- On your device: lists you save, games you add to compare, your Game Match answers, studios you follow and display preferences are kept in your browser’s local storage. They never reach our servers unless you use a tool that needs them (for example, sending your Match answers to calculate your Match %), and we don’t link them to you.
We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. Our site and newsletter are for adults only.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- Sending our newsletter: your consent. You can unsubscribe from any email.
- Sharing with network partners: your consent, given separately with the second tick-box. We never pre-tick it.
- Analytics: your consent, through our cookie banner.
- Showing country-appropriate offers, running and securing the site, answering messages: our legitimate interests in providing a working, safe service that only shows offers legally available to you.
- Keeping records of consents: legal obligation and legitimate interests, so we can prove what you agreed to.
Who we share it with
- Network partners (only if you ticked the box): Other websites operated by our group of companies that publish casino and betting guides. They may email you about casino games, tools and offers similar to ours. Each partner becomes responsible for your data under its own privacy policy, and you can unsubscribe from them directly or ask us to stop sharing.
- Service providers who work for us: website hosting and security, our email platform, and (with consent) Google Analytics. They may only use your data to provide their service to us.
- Casinos: when you click an offer, the casino or its affiliate platform learns that you came from SlotsDiscovery (through a tracking link) so we can be paid a commission if you sign up. We do not give casinos your name, email or newsletter details.
- Authorities: if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
We never sell your data to data brokers.
International transfers
Some providers (for example Google and email platforms) may process data outside the UK and European Economic Area. Where they do, we rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses (including the UK addendum) to protect it.
How long we keep it
- Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent, then a minimal record of your opt-out so we don’t email you again. Sign-ups that never open an email in 24 months are deleted.
- Network sharing: we stop sharing as soon as you withdraw consent and tell partners we’ve shared with.
- Messages to us: up to 24 months.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, take a copy to another service, and withdraw any consent at any time (this doesn’t affect what we did before). Email [email protected]; we reply within one month. If you’re unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or your local data protection authority.
Cookies
See our cookie policy for every cookie and storage item we use, and change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer.
Changes
We’ll update this page when our practices change and show the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your newsletter data, we’ll tell subscribers by email.
