Grimms’ Bounty: Princess & the Frog slot: RTP, features and max win

PG Soft's Grimms' Bounty: Princess & the Frog slot pairs Prize symbols worth up to 500x with Collector multipliers up to x10. Here is how the bonus works, what the numbers mean at your stake and how it differs from Hansel & Gretel.

Key takeaways
  • Grimms' Bounty: Princess & the Frog is PG Soft's 3-reel, 5-row, 35-connecting-ways slot, listed by the supplier at 96.77% RTP.
  • Prize symbols pay 0.5x to 500x the bet and Collector symbols multiply them by x1, x2, x5 or x10; three Scatters award eight free spins.
  • PG Soft states a 10,000x max win, higher than every PG Soft slot in our comparison table.
  • At 96.77% RTP, 200 spins at €1 average a €6.46 loss, but a high-volatility game can land far from that average.
  • The supplier's €2,000,000 max exposure is a payout cap in money, not a max win multiplier, and RTP can differ between casinos.

The Grimms’ Bounty: Princess & the Frog slot is PG Soft’s latest fairy-tale release: a 3-reel, 5-row video slot with 35 connecting ways, a 96.77% RTP and a 10,000x maximum win. PG Soft’s announcement was reported in early October 2026, our new slots calendar lists a release on 5 October, and the supplier’s notice to operators marks it live on 4 November. In practice, some casinos have had it for weeks and others are only adding it now.

It is the next chapter in the Grimms’ Bounty series and it plays on two symbol types, Prizes and Collectors, rather than paylines or cascades. Below: how the bonus works, what the numbers mean at real stakes, and how it differs from the series’ first game.

What is the Grimms’ Bounty: Princess & the Frog slot?

It is a mobile-first video slot where wins are counted across 35 connecting ways on a 3-reel, 5-row grid instead of fixed paylines. Matching symbols count when they touch side by side or diagonally, from the leftmost reel to the right.

The theme is the princess-and-frog romance, set in a sunlit palace with golden arches and falling rose petals. The art is a backdrop. The maths lives in the Prize and Collector symbols.

How does the bonus work?

The base game pays when Prize symbols (cash values) land with Collector symbols (multipliers), and the Free Spins Feature lets Collector multipliers stack from spin to spin.

  1. Prize symbols: one or more can land on any spin, each worth 0.5x to 500x your current bet.
  2. Collector symbols: these carry x1, x2, x5 or x10.
  3. Prize plus Collector on the same spin: the combined Prize value is multiplied by the combined Collector multipliers, and the win pays on that figure, according to PG Soft’s announcement.
  4. Free spins trigger: three Scatter symbols anywhere award eight free spins, and each extra Scatter adds two more.
  5. Inside the feature: each Collector adds its multiplier to a running total at the top of the reels, and later Prize symbols pay at that accumulated multiplier. The feature can retrigger.

Worked example, reading “combined” as a simple sum: Prize symbols worth 10x and 5x make 15x. Collectors of x2 and x5 make x7. The spin pays 15 × 7 = 105x, which is £105 on a £1 bet or €105 on a €1 bet.

The same arithmetic shows how the ceiling can be reached. Two top Prize symbols (500x + 500x = 1,000x) with one x10 Collector make 10,000x. That is our own illustration of the maths, not a path PG Soft has confirmed, and it would be extremely rare.

The free spins are where the value concentrates. A running total that does not reset mid-feature means a late Prize symbol can land on a large multiplier, so a few spins carry most of the return. One report also says the game ends the round if a win reaches 10,000x.

What are the RTP, volatility and max win?

The supplier lists an RTP of 96.77%, and PG Soft states a maximum win of 10,000x the bet. RTP (return to player) is the long-run average share of stakes a game pays back, so 96.77% means £96.77 back per £100 staked over millions of spins, a house edge of 3.23%.

Casinos can run a different RTP version of the same game, so check the info screen in your own casino before assuming 96.77%. That figure is the one in the supplier’s notice and our release calendar.

Our database has not yet classified the volatility. Third-party reviews call it high volatility with a 20.79% hit frequency, roughly one winning spin in five. That is a reviewer’s figure, not an official one, and our guide to low vs high volatility slots explains what it means for your balance.

What 96.77% looks like in practice: 200 spins at €1 is €200 staked, and the average return is €193.54, an average loss of €6.46. At a 20.79% hit frequency you would expect about 42 winning spins in those 200, and some of those pay less than the stake. Individual sessions swing far from the average, which our RTP calculator lets you test at your own stake.

The 10,000x ceiling is €2,000 at a €0.20 bet, €10,000 at €1 and €100,000 at €10. The supplier also gives a max exposure of €2,000,000, which is a cap on the payout per bet in money. It is a separate figure, and we do not convert it into a multiplier. The Max-Win Reality Check shows what the ceiling means at your stake and how rarely such wins arrive.

How is it different from Grimms’ Bounty: Hansel & Gretel?

The two games share a 3-reel, 5-row grid and the series name, but they build multipliers in different ways. Hansel & Gretel was launched on 2 September 2025 as a collapse-style slot with a multiplier meter that rises as high-paying symbols are collected, plus respins. Princess & the Frog drops the meter in the base game and puts the multipliers on the symbols themselves.

If you liked the meter-and-respin rhythm of Hansel & Gretel, expect a different pace here: fewer small incremental gains and more all-or-nothing Prize-and-Collector spins.

Is there a bonus buy?

Reports say the game includes a Feature Buy option that starts the Free Spins Feature for an on-screen price. Our data does not yet confirm this, and feature buys are switched off in some countries, so you may not see it at your casino.

If you do see it, price it before you press it. The Bonus Buy Cost Checker shows the average cost of buying a feature at a given RTP, and our bonus buy slots list shows which other games offer one.

How does it compare with PG Soft’s other slots?

Its 10,000x ceiling is higher than every one of the six PG Soft slots below from our data, and its 96.77% RTP is slightly above the studio’s 96.63% average slot RTP in our database. Most of PG Soft’s well-known games are medium volatility with smaller ceilings.

Who is the Grimms’ Bounty: Princess & the Frog slot for?

It suits players who like multiplier-driven slots where a few spins carry most of the value. If you want steadier small wins, a medium-volatility PG Soft game such as Fortune Tiger is the better fit.

The common mistake with a high-volatility slot is a stake too large for the budget. Long dry spells are normal, so size your bet to last 200 or more spins: at €1 a spin that means €200 before you start. The Bankroll Calculator gives a starting point, and the simulator below shows how uneven 1,000 spins can look at this RTP.

Where can you play it?

The game is rolling out operator by operator, so ask your casino to refresh its game list if you cannot find it. Availability also depends on your country, which our Provider availability checker can confirm for PG Soft.

If a welcome offer is your reason for signing up, read the wagering terms first and price them with the Bonus Wagering Calculator. Free spins on other games do not carry over to this one.
